Eila-Rose Wilder

HYPERPOP SHAPESHIFTER  |  MULTIFACETED PRODUCER  |  RECORDING ARTIST

Eila-Rose (AKA runeflowers) is a transfemme polymath filtering her musings and thoughts on her queerness through a vibrant array of danceable beats and pointed yet darkly funny lyrics.

Her story begins as a teen growing up in Houston, Texas, learning how to play the violin while messing around with beats in GarageBand. Having fallen in love with classic rock bands such as Queen and Pink Floyd, she taught herself to sing by belting along to her favorite songs from them.

In 2020, Eila moved to Philadelphia to study music technology at Temple University, where she would grow her audio engineering and music production skills, exploring a wide variety of genres and producing several albums worth of music, each one representing an improvement in her production and songwriting prowess.

Then in 2023, while in the middle of crafting a massive indie audio drama pilot for which she also wrote, voice acted in, and directed, she produced the first song for what would end up becoming her debut rap album, KATABASIS. This concept album contained a series of deeply personal diary entries about her struggles with gender and dysphoria, expressed through atmospheric, experimental, and creative multi-genre songs. Over the course of the next two years, she’d record thirteen tracks in total, tracing her journey from denial and dysphoria to acceptance and being ready for change.

Now she enters a new creative chapter under the moniker runeflowers, which is a complete from the ground up reinvention of her as a musician. On her currently in production album, fAWNETTE, Eila delves into a glitchy new electronic and pop-oriented sound while refusing to lose her atmospheric production, soaring voice, and her love of experimentation with genres, instruments, and effects. Using this new sound and her typical witty songwriting, she explores transfemininity through the lens of two deeply flawed trans girls at different stages of their lives and transitions. Her inspirations range from underscores, to MARINA, to Imogen Heap, Magdalena Bay, Ninajirachi, and Charli xcx.

fAWNETTE (current project)

fAWNETTE is a total reinvention…

It had been two years since she had last produced anything new. Having put aside her music to focus on life, work, and her transition, the music she had listened to had completely changed. Gone were most of the rap and alternative artists that originally inspired her, in favor of artists like underscores, Magdalena Bay, and MARINA. The introspective and lonely “boy” who made KATÁBASIS no longer existed, and in his place was a hyperpop princess who loved to dance. One with new musical inspirations, new ideas, and new experiences to reflect on. There was only one thing for it: a total reinvention of her sound and aesthetic,

fAWNETTE represents a new era of the artist now known as runeflowers. Bathed in glowing synths, ambient textures, and incredibly catchy & danceable beats, the album will be an eclectic blend of hyperpop, EDM, and 2000s pop with Aadhira’s powerful voice soaring above it. It explores trans-femininity through the stories of several women, including neugirl who is struggling to cope with how she has changed so quickly and Morgan who is deeply afraid of change. Her darkly funny songwriting is unhinged in the best way yet powerful and devastating when it needs to be, and her penchant for endlessly catchy hooks shines through each song. They will get stuck in your head.

The album is currently in production and is planned to release in Summer 2027. Demos will be posted earlier than that on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and Subvert for those who want to get in early on an artist that dreams big and is intensely passionate about everything she creates.

KATÁBASIS (2023-2025)

…and KATÁBASIS is where it all started.

Born from the realization that the clearest way to express herself was through her music, KATABASIS is a tightly wound 12 track journey through the discovery of Aadhira’s gender. Conveyed as an atmospheric hip-hop/rap style concept album, it also contains touches of jazz, rock, soul, and even disco. The lyrics are vulnerable and personal to a degree few albums ever reach, stripping the artist bare in a devastating yet riveting way. And the production melds genres together cleverly and creatively, utilizing live instrumentation such as drums, saxophone, violin, and piano to execute its motifs.

Standout tracks include the energetic PUT MY MIND BACK IN PLACE, the devastating LONE, the immensely catchy ACCEPTANCE, and the album’s closing 6 minute experimental epic FALLING OUT OF FAVOR WITH MYSELF.

KATÁBASIS was released in September 2026.
